Actress and executive producer, Connie Ferguson spent the first Christmas without her husband, Shona and it has been very difficult for her.

The legendary actor and filmmaker, Shona, passed away on July 30 after being admitted in hospital when he critically ill. It later transpired that the pandemic Covid-19 was the cause for his demise.

As it is five months now since his death but to Connie it has not been easy, the way she misses him can be seen.

Losing your loved one, especially your partner whom you shared everything together not just a marriage is very hard. I cannot begin the difficulty Connie is going through.

At this time of the year, festive season and most particularly, the Christmas time when families come together to spend the Christmas with their loved ones, it is very hard when one of the family member is no more.

The space of that person in the family will always be missed. Their absence hit very hard and you can’t help but shed year.

Times may go by but their space will not be covered.

This is what Connie is going through as she spend the first Christmas without him.

Taking to Instagram, the legendary actress posted an image of herself and Shona with a simple caption that shows she really misses him.

She wrote the caption “1st Christmas”, with the dove and white emoji.

Many celebrities took to comments section and sent her love which includes Jessica Nkosi, Nandi Madida, Phumeza Mdabe, Winnie Ntshaba, Phuti Khomo, Kgomotso Christopher and others.

Shona’s death shocked many people in South Africa and across the globe as it was not expected at all.

Both Shona and his wife, Connie, had bought lot of change and developed many careers in the media industry, particularly the TV industry. As it is known that the media power couple owns a film production company, named Ferguson Films that they both founded and managed.

They have had many production shows produced by them under this company which includes The Queen, The Throne, Igazi, Kings of Joburg, just to name a few.

Many actors got to have jobs opportunities by landing roles in their company. Both Shona and Connie developed many actors working in their company.
