Konka publicist and DJ, Linda Moeketsi has revealed that the popular club will be closed on New Year’s Eve.
It would be the perfect venue to welcome the new year at, and attracting star power performers would be as easy as it has always been for this club, but:
He told City Press:
“We will be closed from 28 December 28 up until 9 January.”
“This is to allow our team to break for the holiday season and to spend time with their families.”
He adds that the break will allow for the club to plan for the coming year in bringing new customers and exciting experiences.
Moeketsi also said the club has plans to end the year with a bang though they’re considering their employee’s needs.
“We have a six-hour non-stop show on Channel O, #KonkaChristmas.”
“It is a music show that brings you six hours of back-to-back music from De Mthuda, DBN Gogo, PH, and Kabza De Small.”
He added that he will host the programme and that it’s intended to give viewers a special Christmas and that it will air from 1 pm to 7 pm.
Linda Moeketsi also says the club (Konka) has also taken to the road with a summer tour that’s seen it party in other parts of South Africa, Bloemfontein, Polokwane, and many more.
The #KonkaSummerTour has been a great success and has expanded its brand of high-end partying
“It has been really exciting for us as we’ve received a lot of support from customers all over the country.”
“We have noticed people travel from far and wide to come and experience Konka, and we appreciate that.”
“We strive to be the venue of choice for customers from all over the world.”

They are excited as they’ll be in Cape Town on 2 January at Cabo [formerly Shimmy Beach Club].
